Red and blues: Trek launch 2019 team kit at Rouleur Classic

New retro stylings for Trek’s men’s team in 2019 and a combo of blues for their new women’s team

Lizzie Deignan,  John Degenkolb and Koen De Kort showcased their new Trek-Segafredo team kit at the Rouleur Classic today. 

Red continues to be the dominant colour on the men’s kit, but black arms and a white chest band are added to the ensemble offering a touch of retro styling. 

Degenkolb informed the gathered crowd that the design of the Santini kit went through 32 iterations before this one was settled on. 

“It just shows the work that’s gone into it,” he said.

 

While De Kort wore the new race outfit, in which he pointed to increased crash protection materials, Degenkolb showcased the team’s new high-vis training colours.

“Finally we’ve got white socks!” he added .

There was no 2018 precedent to be followed with the Trek-Segafredo women’s team kit, the team a new formation for 2019.

 

“I love it,” said Lizzie Deignan, when she stepped out in a snazzy array of blues and teal that she noted complimented her blue eyes.

“There’s design all the way through it,” she added. “Sponsor led things are [usually] all about the branding.
