It's almost time for the first Grand Tour of the season, the Giro d'Italia, where for three weeks in May, some of the world's best cyclists will compete for the iconic Maglia Rosa.
The 2025 edition starts in Albania on Friday May 9 and finishes in Rome on Sunday June 1, where in between there are 21 stages comprising of sprint finishes, testing time trials, Tuscan gravel chaos as well as Alpine and Apennine mountain climbs.
With all this on the cards, cycling fans will be keen to not to miss a moment, and there's places you watch the coverage of this year's Giro around the world.
Earlier this year the parent company Warner Bros. Discovery changed its subscription model for its TNT Sports content and as a result Eurosport is no longer available in the UK.
Viewers in the UK need to have access to Discovery+ (with the Sport plan) to watch live TNT Sports stream that’s broadcasting the Giro, which costs £30.99/month and can be available via bundles through Virgin Media, Sky TV and EE mobile.
In terms of free-to-air coverage, in Wales, the Welsh language channel S4C is again likely to provide free-to-air coverage of the Giro d'Italia. Last year the channel broadcasted the race including highlights and select live coverage of key stages, which was available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Max, which was former known as HBO Max will broadcast the Giro in the USA if you have the Bleacher Report Sports add-on, which costs $9.99/month on top of your Max subscription, totalling $19.98/month. For a free viewing, the final hour of each stage is available on Sling TV, FuboTV, and as a free stream on beIN SPORTS XTRA.
In Canada, the Giro will be broadcast exclusively on FloBikes, which costs $29.99 per month or $150 for a full year. The platform offers live coverage, full race replays, highlights, and in-depth analysis and is accessible through web browsers and apps on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Chromecast, providing flexible viewing across devices.
In Australia, you can watch the 2025 Giro d’Italia live and free on SBS, which holds exclusive free-to-air rights through 2025. All 21 stages will be broadcast live on SBS VICELAND and streamed on SBS On Demand, with catch-up replays and highlights available online.
