Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx) ensured that Flanders had a home champion to cheer at last when she won the 2022 Women's Tour of Flanders from Annemiek van Vleuten, with her teammate Chantal van den Broek-Blaak finishing third.
Hundreds of thousands of fans lined the course for the first time in two years, and combined with a late hail shower it made for a spectacular finish to the 19th edition of the women's Ronde van Vlaanderen.
