Job brief

Rouleur is looking for a junior writer to bolster its magazine and website teams. You’ll work closely with our writers and editors to create stories and help deliver our publication to as wide an audience as possible. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively and take the initiative when needed. You’ll need a strong grasp of the written word and to be comfortable quickly learning to use new tools and systems. Experience in using social media and constructing newsletters is desirable but not essential.

Rouleur is one of few independent businesses in the cycling media space, offering a successful candidate the chance to be involved in many aspects of the business.

This is a hybrid role with attendance in our Central London office required alongside some work-from-home days.

Responsibilities

  • Writing articles across racing, travel, tech and performance sections of the website

  • Feature writing for Rouleur magazine

  • Writing/updating evergreen articles

  • Aiding the digital editor in auditing and maintaining the website’s SEO

  • Day-to-day proofing and scheduling of social media posts across Instagram, Facebook, X, and Bluesky

  • Leading on production of editorial newsletters

  • Upload and produce articles for the website and app

  • Uploading the magazine's digital edition, podcasts, and paid-for content

Requirements and skills

  • A passion for cycling

  • Awareness of social media platforms

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • A collaborative team player

  • Willingness to work weekend shifts when required
