EF Education First-Drapac powered by Cannondale unveiled their new colours at the Rouleur Classic in London on Friday. The bright colours project a reinvigorated future for the current Cannondale-Drapac squad, which will adopt both the new name and new threads for the 2018 road season.

Made by Swedish company POC, who have a long association with the team, the kit comes in a pink shouldered racing version for racing and an orange variation for training.

A green trim with faint argyle patterning gives a nod to the team’s current getup.

“I think you will see it straight away on the TV,” said team DS Andreas Klier.

Earlier this year, the team’s future looked to be on the rocks after a deal with a major sponsor fell through. Midway through the Vuelta a España, riders were told that it wasn’t certain that future contracts could be honoured and that they were free to look elsewhere.

“It’s been a rough ride” said team founder Jonathan Vaughters.

But with EF Education First stepping in after a desperate round of crowd funding and last minute dealing, Vaughters says: “We’ve found a sponsor that believes in the ethos and long term objectives of the team.”
