Tour de France Femmes 2025 startlist: The riders for this year's race

All the riders who we know will be lining up for the start of the fourth Tour de France Femmes in Vannes

The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is just around the corner, and more and more teams are confirming which riders they will be sending to the fourth edition of the nine-day race that starts in Vannes on Saturday July 26, 2025.

The overall route is 1,165 kilometres, featuring 17,240 metres of climbing, with a number of lumpy tests, flat finishes and mountain challnges. The teams with GC hopefuls will therefore need a rider who is a strong all-rounder, but with two back-to-back mountain stages on the final weekend, climbing abilities will be key if they want to win the yellow jersey. It's also important for the teams with GC ambitions to bring some solid domestiques to make sure their leaders make it through some trickier stages earlier on in the race.

However, there are also plenty of opportunities for those teams without a GC or even a top sprinter to search for stage wins and have the freedom to go for the breakaway where they might have the chance of staying away for the victory. With 22 teams on the start list, including all the Women's WorldTour teams and seven UCI Women's Continental teams, it is all to play for over the nine stages.

So, picking seven riders to race in the Tour de France Femmes is an important job for the team managers and one that requires a lot of deliberation if they want to win stages or even better, take home a converted Tour jersey.
