What excites me most about Rouleur Live is that the headline acts aren’t hidden behind barriers or bright lights — they’re right there, talking bikes, racing, and the craft that makes cycling the unique sport that it is. You hear stories from the road, see frames that challenge convention, and meet people who care about every detail. It’s the rare kind of event that reminds me why I fell for cycling in the first place — not for the spectacle, but for the people who make it matter. Here are some of the headline acts which I am most looking forward to.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot
“This is my life, I love what I am doing,” said Pauline Ferrand-Prévot when she won the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift — becoming the first French yellow jersey winner since Bernard Hinault in 1985. It was the biggest result of her glistening career, and came after only returning to road racing in January. But 2025 wasn’t only about the Tour for Ferrand-Prévot; she also won Paris-Roubaix, completing a miraculous double in her home country’s two most important races.
This season was just the beginning of her plans for more cycling dominance, which has spanned more than a decade and includes mountain biking and cyclocross. Next up, she plans to conquer the races across the border in Belgium, targeting Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Tour of Flanders. At Rouleur Live on Friday 14 November, Ferrand-Prévot will be talking about her dream 2025 season and what else we can expect to see from her in the years to come.
Magdeleine Vallieres
Every now and then the cycling script gets torn up. When Magdeleine Vallieres took to the start line in Kigali, Rwanda at the UCI Road World Championships, few would have been tipping her for the rainbow jersey. But, that’s exactly what happened. In Africa’s first road Worlds, Canada had its first ever road race world champion.
Vallieres’s ride was one for the ages; it had tactical nous, gutsy performance and the power to finish it off — all key elements to weave together a rainbow jersey. Vallieres will be on stage at Rouleur Live on Saturday 15 November where she will discuss the ins and outs of her winning ride in Rwanda.
Simon Yates
I find that particular bike races have a habit of shaping a rider’s career. This is certainly the case for Simon Yates who won the Giro d’Italia in May, seven years after he had seemed destined to win but struggled in the final week of the Grand Tour. Watching from the sofa, along with many fans, I felt the sheer disappointment from that devastating stage. Since then I have found myself rooting for a Yates fairytale, and this year he delivered. What made it even more of a redemptive arc was that he won the maglia rosa on the back of a performance on the Colle delle Finistre, the same climb that his bid for the title collapsed in 2018.
The Giro title was the crowning moment in the Briton’s career, which also includes a Vuelta a España title and three stages of the Tour de France. From the highs and lows, it has been a remarkable journey for one of the finest stage racers of the past decade. Yates will be on stage at Rouleur Live on Saturday 15 November to discuss his redemption and his path to the 2025 pink jersey.
Puck Pieterse
A multi-discipline talent Puck Pieterse has become something of a cult figure in the world of cycling thanks to her trademark skill, grit and fearless racing style. She has excelled over road, mountain biking and cyclocross in recent seasons and is not shy of launching an audacious attack in all of these.
For me, Pieterse is a thrilling rider to watch. She throws everything she has at her races, but riding on the edge of your limits can bring lows, as well as highs. Pieterse’s 2024 Olympic mountain biking campaign ended in heartbreak following a flat tyre when she was in the silver medal position. But, her perseverance has paid off with some key victories, like La Flèche Wallonne in April and a Tour de France Femmes stage win and a mountain bike world title in 2024. Pieterse will be part of a panel on stage at Rouleur Live talking about the rise of women’s cycling on Thursday 13 November.
Filippo Ganna
The beaming Italian superstar, Filippo Ganna is one of the best time triallists in cycling history. From Olympic games, World Championships, Grand Tours, the Hour Record, he has won almost everything he can in the discipline. He is prolific on the track and at the Classics too, as shown by his performances at races like Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix over the years.
In a world where precision, timing and tweaks for performance gains, Ganna has always excelled at maximising the return on his investment, translating every watt into speed. Hear him share his insights when he takes to the Rouleur Live stage on Thursday 13 November.
Greg Lemond
A legend of the Tour de France, Greg Lemond is the USA’s only winner of the yellow jersey, taking the most prized garment of the sport three times in his career (1986, 1989 and 1990). He also took the road world title twice in 1983 and 1989. However, despite his talent and hard work, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Californian, as he had to come back from a hunting accident which nearly ended his life.
Lemond is full of insights and stories from the world of cycling, with anecdotes, tales and wisdom for all to enjoy. The American will be on stage twice at Rouleur Live on Thursday and Friday 13 and 14 November.
