About us
From the pinnacle of professional cycle sport to the budding youth on their two-wheeled journey, we love bikes and the people who ride them. Rouleur stands for quality, whether in print, online, or in person.

Our Editorial team
In depth feature writing, online content of note, podcasts and video – across three languages. Meet the talented people behind your Rouleur.
Edward Pickering – Editor
Olga Àbalos
Olga started as a freelance journalist in Barcelona when she was 20 while she was training hard on her bike. After a few years racing, she decided to focus on her job as a journalist for music magazines. In 2015 she founded Volata magazine with Bernat and Isaac, two lads crazy about bikes, and in 2019, Volata joined the Rouleur family. She still loves music and can't help tweeting about it.
Emilio Previtali – Editor, Rouleur Italia
Emilio has skied on some of the highest mountains on earth. Before being Editor of Rouleur Italia, he founded Italian magazines FREE.rider and Alvento. He likes stories where things happen in slow motion but does not like ellipses. He hates Goethe's quote: "The mountain is a silent teacher who makes silent disciples." Emilio competes in long-distance triathlons and still hopes to ski Everest and race the Ironman WC in Hawaii.
Rachel Jary – Staff Writer
Rachel spent three years racing full-time in Belgium, trying to fulfill the dream of becoming a professional cyclist. At the end of the 2020 season, she reached the conclusion that she was better at writing about races than competing in them and joined the team at Rouleur. She still likes railing it around local crits and track leagues in her spare time, and hopes to explore more of the world on two wheels.
Nick Busca – Editorial Domestique Deluxe
Nick started reporting for La Stampa while studying philosophy. He then freelanced for sports magazines, worked on foreign affairs, travelled to North Korea in 2014 and the Ukraine war front in 2015, before moving to London and focussing on cycling. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, and BBC.
Commercial and Support team
The unsung heroes who make Rouleur fly.
Ben Ward – Commercial Director
A long-termer, having done a bit of just about everything for Rouleur at some point. Considering the consistency with which Ben is nursing some sort of injury, he would have saved himself a lot of heartache by not working in the cycling industry. Now however, he is rediscovering the joy of cycling through his children, simple movement and low expectations.
Kelly Booth - Commercial Account Director
Jonathan Larkworthy – Financial Controller
Jonathan grew up in Watford and then spent five years in Manchester, three of which studying Neuroscience at the University of Manchester. After a brief stint in sales and a briefer stint travelling the world, Jonathan trained as a Chartered Accountant at HW Fisher. Since leaving practice he has worked at Bethesda, part of the Microsoft Corporation, and is now Financial Controller for Rouleur.
Bobby Whittaker – Retail and E-commerce executive
Bobby began working with Italian vintage bicycles where his love of Campagnolo started and remains to this day. From there, he embraced all things handmade and the incredible world of custom bicycles. He loves photography and art, and tries to encourage cycling to fit and merge with those creative worlds. He also loves his dog Buddy, who travels by bike too.
Benjamin Bathurst – Digital Marketing Manager
Benjamin joined Rouleur after five years in the fine wine trade at Berry Bros. & Rudd, learning the ropes of digital marketing. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling round the local lanes and fine wine – not at the same time, obviously – and has recently begun trying to perfect espresso at home. Any tips on this, most welcome.
Simeon Dimitrov – Insight Analyst
Simeon joined Rouleur after graduating from Loughborough University. He’s passionate about all things data and telling a story through them. Outside of work he splits his time between the ocean and the mountains – chasing swells surfing or looking for fresh powder to snowboard.
