Privateer 9
Issue 9 of Privateer is now available
This time round we kick off with a photo essay documenting Spring through the lenses of our global pool of photographers, then we head to Arizona to interview the solo winner of Kona 24hrs in the Old Pueblo, Cory Wallace. He’s an interesting subject because rather than spending the winter training in the sun, he was working in the frozen oil fields of Alberta, cutting down trees for 10hrs per day in temperatures as low as -40deg. Who needs sports science when you’re a double hard bastard?
Elsewhere, we pose the question ‘What have the Olympics ever done for us?’ we visit Cane Creek in North Carolina; we speak to Helen Mortimer, just as she was about to leave British Cycling; we tour New Zealand with Jon Sparks, and Mick Kirkman hosts a roundtable with the movers and shakers of the MTB tyre world.
